Computer boots up to the startup screen, then turns off

Hi,

I have this computer for 6 years now and it finally crapped out on me the other day. Planning to use it as a media server. Anyway the other day I booted it up and it would start up but then within 5 seconds it would shut off and the light on the motherboard would turn off, then back on. I tried turning it on again and the same thing happen. I then just for the heck of it unplugged the cdrom and the computer booted up just fine and got to the windows boot screen, then it would shut down again. I tried booting up again and the initial issue would happen boot up for 5 seconds then shut off. Unplugged the power to the hdd and it would again boot up to the windows splash screen then shut down, boot up again and within 5 seconds computer would turn off?

Please help.
